Tube Flies

Tube Flies have many advantages over other lures:

  • They have a fluid swimming movement you can't get with hard bodied lures.
  • Tube Flies can be cast or trolled for a wide range of gamefish species.
  • You can easily change hook size and style, to meet local regulations.
  • You can fish a long bodied fly with a short shank hook. Short shank hooks are
harder for a fish to throw.
  • Tube Flies are free to slide up the line when fighting fish, saving wear & tear
and allowing the average fly to out last soft plastic baits 10 to 1.

Tube Fly with ActionDisc

Plastic or foam beads are typically
used to space the hook to the tail of
the fly to eliminate short strikes.
A section of plastic tube can be used
instead of beads to speed rigging.

Standard
Trolling Flies

ActionDiscs provide great action and vibration for trolling flies.

The example videos to the left also demonstrates how the turbulance created by the disc lifts the materials off of the fly body.

To use ActionDiscs with trolling flies, just slide the disc on the line before you tie on the fly.

You can also use a bobber stopper knot to adjust the distance between the fly and the disc as demonstrated in the "Slow Kicker Rig" on the walleye rigging page.

For spincasting, baitcasting or trollng! These flies are tied with ulra tough Arctic Fox fur, providing maximum durability with a super fluid action in the water.

They are the most versitile fishing lures and they will catch huge range of fish in both freshwater and salt.
