Using ActionDiscs with Walleye Rigs and Lures |
||
Slow trolling Walleye RigsThis set up gives walleye lures and rigs a pulsing/darting action with a wide range of lateral movement. Use a SlideLock stopper to space a Series II ActionDisc approximately 5 inches in front of the lure. Drag the rig along side the boat at trolling speed (1-2 mph) to check the action. Tune the rig by sliding the SlideLoc stopper closer to or farther away from the bait until you get the best results. Order ActionDiscs Here |

Swimming action rigsPositioning the ActionDisc close to the lure allows the motion created by the disc to be transferred directly to the bait resulting in a natural swimming action. ActionDiscs add vibration and swimming action to your lure even when you're trolling to slow to turn a spinner blade. When trolling for long periods of time, we recommend using a bead between the disc and the bait to eliminate abrasion on your knot. If you want to incorporate spinner blades or other components on your rigs be sure to space them at least 4" up the line from the disc to avoid disrupting the disc's motion. You can use ActionDiscs for spin casting your favorite walleye lures, just slide a worm weight or egg sinker on the line before you slide on the ActionDisc and tie on your lure. |
